Czech Cybersecurity Startup Blindspot Technologies Raises €1.4M for Advanced DDoS Protection
Czech cybersecurity startup Blindspot Technologies secures €1.4 million in funding from Prozeta, Damir Spoljaric (Gi21), and Presto Ventures to enhance its advanced DDoS protection. Founded in 2023 by David Cermak, Blindspot specializes in B2B cybersecurity, offering solutions for DDoS protection, Web application, and API security. The solution, implemented in two modes, continuously cleanses traffic or does so when an attack is detected.
Blindspot manages an extensive infrastructure with over 2,000 data center partners, six decontamination centers, and an infrastructure capacity exceeding 5 Tbps globally. David Cermak, CEO of Blindspot Technologies, emphasizes the company's goal to be a global leader in DDoS protection, especially in the face of escalating cyber threats on critical infrastructure.
The seed round includes contributions from Prague-based venture capital firm Presto Ventures (€700,000), Czech investor Damir Spoljaric via Gi21 fund (€300,000), and strategic collaborator Prozeta (€400,000). The funds will be used for market expansion, reaching vulnerable markets, and strengthening Blindspot's position as a key player in cybersecurity.
The investment reflects the increasing importance of robust cybersecurity solutions, particularly in regions facing heightened susceptibility to cyber threats.
