Israeli Cybersecurity Firm Seal Security Raises $7.4 Million in Funding
Israeli cybersecurity firm Seal Security has secured $7.4 million in early funding to grow its business and research activities. The company, founded by ex-soldiers from Israel's Unit 8200 intelligence division, utilizes language models to automate security patching, claiming to fix over 95% of critical and high-severity vulnerabilities.
Seal Security's service simplifies the management of security updates, supporting cryptographic sign patches and RPM-based distribution. It allows customers to manage remediation from a single location, with centralized control and compliance capabilities, and support for continuous integration and deployment.
The seed round was led by Vertex Ventures Israel, with participation from Crew Capital, PayPal Alumni Fund, and Cyber Club London. CEO Itamar Sher noted the importance of automating vulnerability remediation for open-source software, aiming to address the issue of manual labor and cross-departmental collaboration.
