Zeron, Cybersecurity Startup, Raises $500,000 in Seed Funding from Varanium Capital

Cybersecurity firm Zeron secures $500,000 in seed funding from Varanium Capital and Yatra Angel Network. The funds will be used for research and development initiatives and to expand the startup's global presence. Zeron, led by founder Sanket Sarkar, employs artificial intelligence to assist businesses in strengthening their online security. The startup's client portfolio includes Affin Bank, NTUC, Aditya Birla Capital, and Bank Open, with a presence in countries like the Philippines, Indonesia, Canada, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.

Earlier this year, Zeron received funding from 100X.VC and angel investors Anoop Mathur (AM Capital) and K.R.S. Jamwal (Tata Industries). The cybersecurity startup operates in a competitive industry, with SquareX raising $6 million in May from seed investors led by Peak XV Partners.

Varanium Capital and Yatra Angel Network, leading the seed funding round, are active investors in fintech ventures. Varanium NexGen, known for investments in early revenue-generating fintech companies, has previously invested in startups like EaseBuzz, Riskcovry, GetVantage, Homeville, DataSutram, and FinVu.
